Lucknow — In a major enforcement action on city roads, Lucknow Police cracked down on illegal encroachments and traffic violations under the supervision of DCP Traffic Kamlesh Dixit. The special operation was conducted at key intersections, including Nishatganj, Kaisarbagh, Ashok Lat, and Lalbagh.
Sidewalks clogged with unauthorized shops, roadside stalls, and kiosks were cleared, ensuring smooth traffic flow. Shopkeepers were strictly warned not to park vehicles in front of their establishments and to adhere to parking regulations.

Police action against violators was strict: a total of 4,048 challans were issued in a single day, along with the seizure of 87 vehicles. The breakdown of fines is as follows:
